The Alder Lane belted shirt dress is cut in 55% linen 45% cotton and finished in cool slate. Cut in our pearl and slate palette and held in stock in Orpington.

How this dress is put together

55% linen 45% cotton. Seams are stitched at a consistent tension and finished so they lie flat against the skin, with side seams overlocked or French-seamed depending on the cloth weight. The front placket is cut with the warp and backed with a woven interfacing, so it stays flat between the buttons; collars are two-piece on a fused band and buttonholes are stitched twice. Hems are turned deep enough for the cloth to hang true.

Care

Machine wash cool at 30C, close all buttons before washing, do not bleach, line dry on a hanger to keep the placket flat, medium iron on collar and cuffs.
